The Rawson Commission.

.. New Plymouth, Friday. The enquiry into the charges ngainat district Judge Rawsou yesterday was continued by tbe Eoyal Commission when Mv Jellicoe appeared to conduct' cases. The charge of conspiracy to injure Mr G. Hutchison was proceeded with. Tlie first witness examined deposed that District Judge Rawson, and Messrs Samuel and Corltill bad : caused him to swear an affidavit making serious obarges against G. Hutchinson, solicitor, in order to get him struck off the roll. He was a bankrupt, at the time, and Judge Kawson had promised him payment of money and bis immediate discharge from bankruptcy if he would make the affidavit. Witness declined to swear the affidavit as it contained untruthful allegations. Judge Kawson declined to examine the witness on the ground that a mine was sprung on him, and he required counsel to defend him. The further hearing of the charges was adjourned till Wednesday in order to allow Mr Hesketh, from Auckland, to be present to defend Judge Hawson. She case is creating great interest, bore, Later,

Mr Hesketh, of Auckland, eolicicor, arrived this morning toaot for Mr Eawson. Mr Jellicoe, who is acting for those making the charges, left by train for Wellington to-day. The Commission has adjourned its sitting till Wednesday next.
