JUD&E RAWSON. }jfc New Plymouth, Thursday, ~&- The Commission of enquiry re Judge Rawson was resumed this hy&inorning, when Mr Jellicoe, of Weiw lington, w,as present for those who wished to make the .charges. Commissioner Reid received the charges from William Humphries, Alexander Boswell, and Miohael Byrne. Boswell's charge was that Judge Rawson • corruptly and vindictively committed him for trial to the Supreme Court ■when he must have known the charge was false; that Jndge Rawson tampered with and hindered Boswell's solicitor, and would not allow . him to call evidence to rebut the evidence given. Wm. Humphries charged Judge Rawson with having conspired with Samuel and Carkill to procure Herman Wallath

to take a false oath amountt" gto perjury for the purpose of juring Humphries, also that Judge Uawson attempted to- induce Wallath to swear an affidavit he knew to be false. Humphries also charged Judge Rawson with being unduly influenced in the administration of justice by Samuel, and to the prejudice of Humphries. Miohael Byrne charged Rawson with impro- .,, priety as Registrar of the Supreme -Tfoj Court. The Commission adjourned ,7' to two o'clock.
