Annual Meeting of the Ked
Tho annual, general/meeting'of Red Star Football the Commercial Boom of the Empire Hotellast; evening, and' was.'very' ilaigelyattended.'-Mr~-:W.~~'-Igg'fllden was voted to the chair. The Seoretary: (MrH.; Wilaone) presented the annual report :which- showed a Biibatantial balance to the Credit of the Club, The nufiiber of : matohes played amounted to fourteen, .of which number' eight" were won, twb lost, and. foiif; drawn. The report, which.'was in ever/ way 'favorable, was received with the greatest satisfaction. No leas than nineteen- new members were elected, among whom, were the well-known half v backs BamberandPaui. A strong Committee was .appointed, to arrange matters with regard to the annual ball.. A resolution was proposed, by Mr P. Freeth, and seconded by Mr A. D'Aroy, "That i the (Jlub endeavor to foster more amicable relations with theMasterton Club, than have hitherto existed," and received the unanimous assent of the meeting. Votes of thanks to the retiring officers, the chairman, and Mr T.Thompson for the use of the room concluded the meeting. The first general practice will be held on the last Saturday in March.
