Carterton v. Star Fifteen.
The championship match between the above teams was contested at Carterton on Saturday, Darioch and Beechey, the not out men of the previous Saturday, continued their innings, but both were bowled, the former without increasing hia score, and the latter after adding two. The Carterton skipper was the only other to get into doublo figures, being not out for 13, and the innings closed for 111, With GG to get to win, the Stars went in, and secured the requisite number with four wickets to spare. Eichards and Holford again made a good stand, the former being taken after running a six, and Was rather pumped, flolford got his runs by hard hitting, making a six and. two threes .'.in." one over off Darrooh. Tho following are the scores of the second innings of each team, the Stars and Carterton making 79 and 34 respectively in their first essays:— >'•
