A Vessel Wrecked.

About 2 a.m. yesterday the ketch Blackwall, a very old trader around these coasts,capsized off Le Bousßay. She was leaky and heavily loaded with firewood, She was on a voyage from Pali Bay to Lyttelton, and was attesting to run into Leßons, when she was capsized. Five men were on board, who took to tho boat, and got safely to land, When last seen she was kept afloat by her cargo. The wintl anil tide will probably talfe her South. Mariners are cautioned to lookout for her,. This is the fourth time she _ has capsized or got ashore off Banks Peninsula.
A Boy Drowned- ! Uunedin, February 20, A young boj, a son of Mr Peter Sbiel, of Millar's Flat, was drowned in the Clutha rivor. He with two brothers wore chasing a rabbit when the eldest fell into the river, and the swift current swept him at once into tho centre of the river. The body lias not been recovered.

Fiji news by the Arawatu is to tho effect that tho late Hurricane .appears to have! been felt most at Tavuni and Rambj, where much destruction was done, Levuka and 'the adjacent islands did not suffer much. No shipping casualties to speak of occurred.
Several destructive firss halve taken place lately at Levuka. Falkner's barber's shop «ere destroyed. Solomon's trading store at Suva, Copsen's (ship chandler), Collins, (grocer), and Swann's (chemist) shops were also destroyed, .

To-night a sort of inforiflt(l meeting was held lit tl)o Union Hotel between some of the citizens of. Greyuiouth autV the members of a coal syndicate from Wellington, with a view to taking over certain matters in connection with the enterprise in hand. The syndicate have acquired a coal lease of 4500 acres, andiniend laying .down a line between Greymouth' and Point Elizabeth, and snipping the. coal; here, The Greymouth gentlemen promised to do all 'tliey. could to, obtain for /the syndicate the use of Cobden bridge to bring their coal across |o. the Greymouth' sick . A Mi' Smith; representing the: Melbourne syndicate, whose property ftdjoips that of Wellingtonjvas also present. ' There was no formal business, arid any discission in the course of the evening was of a desultory character,;'. -
