The Championship match between fifteen-of the Star-Club and the second fifteen of the Maaterton Club, fell through on Saturday afternoon On account of .the latter team not .putting in: an appearance until tod late,; tliqugh. MpKenzie, Iggulden and Perry did the bowling for the winners, the two former getting seven wickets each, and the latter four. For the losers, Kibblewhite, Fawke, and Pownall bowled well, Biohards was also well on, but failed to get a wicket. ,-

The Mastertoh'Club has invited the Carterton Club to play a game'on the Park Oval on Saturday afternoon next. On Saturday next the South Wairarapa, Club (Featherston and Kaiwaiwaij'combind) play the second fifteen of Carterton, at the latter place—Championship match.
