Mrs/ Trotter, mbtber. of the com.' plainant deposed: I have gone up every week: aud • have., repeatedly'! taken food, as I. saw there, was not sufficient for a woman suckling a child, and "before her confinement,she was not provided with proper food. I was in the house three weeks during my daughter's .confinement. Her husband had money at the time but refused to supply proper necessities, All the clothes she had were supplied to Lev before her marriage, and the baby's clothes I gave to her, To Mr Beard: When her husband got better of tlie low fever he left her. in the house with hardly , any food, ana went to live with his mother. Mr Beard addressed the .Court on behalf of his client.and the order was refused. -

Thomas Bennett deposed that theI building was not properly shingled and the weather boards were badly put on, and that it would cost some seven or eight pounds to make it habitable..
