Taratahi-Carterton Road Board.

The ordintry monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday 'last. Present—Messrs H. R. Bunny-(Chairman), E. W.Dorset, W. Parkor, J. Ray nor, H. Mthwaite, J, Stevens, and B. Morgan. The micutea of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. : The Treasurer reported a credit balance to the Government Loan account of £l3O, and to the ordinary account £1216s Bd. • Correspondence was read from Mr W. Gosling, asking permission to use Joseph and Phillips' Lino for grazing purposes,—Resolved that the request could not be entertained. From Mr Gower, of Kakern, asking, to have about one and a-half acres of bush fell, adjoining that which ho is now felling.— Resolved that he.be empowered to get the work done at tho same price that he is giving, viz., 27s 6d per acre..' From the Chief Surveyor for. information respecting a piece of road at the lower end of Dalefield.- The Clerk was instructed to give ,the desired information. Prom. Mr F.
