Itlasted all day, but late in the after, noona southeaster.accompanied' by * dust storm came up and chased the fog away. When it cleared, a large number of steamers, were found lying outside unable to make tho: harbour, During the day the thermometer was 02 iu the shade, and the sun shone down like a globe of molten copper.

'Mr-Barratt's sister-in-law who serve's-in the bar, 'saw her,-and thought her drunk, and let her alone. When Mr Barratt oame down stairs he saw she .was dying, and sent'fora : doctor, who found life extinct. The post mortem showed'that she died frdm rupture of a fatty heart, The ,ury : expressed surprise that in a large hotel where females were employed Bucha want of humanity had been shown. Found Dead. Chkistohurch, Wednesday, At Harriettville, onMondayj tho wife of Mr King was found dead. At dinner she was in good health. The husband went to work, and when ho returned in an hour and a half, his wife was dead. Deceased was thirty years of age, and much respected. A Body Exhumed, CumsTCiimicH, Wednosdoy. The wife of Mr Beattie, at Colgate, died suddenly on November 25th, and a post mortem examination revoaled that the lungs were congested, and a verdict was given accordingly. _ Since then, however, other causes" for death have been rumored, and the body has been exhumed, and portions removed to submit to the public analyst. '
