Tho last victim of the attompted murder is still living, her wounds not lioing so serious as at first supposed. She has made a statement to the olfeet that she was drinking in the evening with somo men whom she met, and subsequently one of thoni. accompanied lier to hor lodging. The follow suddenly turned on and attacked her, but slio struggled violently and screamed, and the murderer becoming alarmed, desisted. Ho succeeded in making his escapo good, though punned for three hundred yards. The woman has furnished an accurate description of her assailant, and his arrest is expected hourly. Ho is not believed to have any connection pwith the rovious murders. 22nd November. A nmu was arrested m Whitechapel early to-day, after a furious resistance, who is sflspected to be identical with the assassiD who attempted tho life of a woman on Tuesday.
