Eketahuna Road Board.
Au ordinary meeting of this' Board was held at tho office of the Board on the 17th inst. Present-Messrs A, Anderson, v ehairman), M.' Neilson, C, E. Beckman, S, Bacon and.E, Morris, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Inward correspondence. From County Engineer ro preparing plan of bridge over Makakahi river,, from Mr MoGrnddy complaining bushfelling on line adjoining his section was not being proceeded with. From Bank New Zealand acknowledging receipt of remittance, From same advising lodgment of £SOO on account of Parkville loan. From J. King re plan for bridge over tho Makakahi river. From Mr J. Cliilow advising surface repairs on tho Hawera road. Mr li, Goodban waited on the Board supporting the refuest of kr Chilow's letter, Kesolved that the surface repairs of the Hawera road be proceeded with as soon as it is suflioiontiy dry. That Mr Budden bo written to re thebushfallingon Mr McGruddy's line. That Mr King be asked on what terms lie would supply plan for bridge. That Commissioner Girls High School bo charged for removing trees from road line having fallen from their reserves. The Inspector of Works for Parkvflle presented his report. The works are proceeding satisfactorily. Advance payments were recommended to S. Chisholm, D, Sheeliy and F. Hambrook. It was decided to allow the clerk a bonus of one per cent on the amount expended on the works for extra prk in connection with raising the loan and the executioi) qf the works. Mr Qoodbiin was engaged- to remove a slip from thei Hawera Road, Accounts amounting to £9B 8s 7d were passed for payment and the meeting adjourned;'
