[TO THE EDITOR.] Bra—Will you kindly mrniit'ino to express my .regret that ou 25th inst., I published a letter in tho columns of the Waimrapa D.ui,y reflecting on the Masterton Volunteer Corps, of \ whioh lam n membor. At tho time I wrote tho letter 1 was not aware that in doing so 1 was infringing the ' Volunteer regulations. order for it. Yet I hold a post dud

from their clerk, Mr Charles Pinkerton staling that the Board liab no record of any timber having been ordered from me, This is strange, as I hold.a letter dated 18th February, : jIBBB, froin; their clerk, authorising Mr G,',- Moore to order two thousand feet of culvert timber for use on the Road, and Mr Moore did order *the timbor,.and, a little oxtra, for gales ': on the same road.'
