MASTERTON SCHOOL.
The examination was brought to a olose yesterday. The Inspector, addressing the upper classes congratulated them upon the results of the
examination, stating that they were better than had been obtained on any previous oocasion. The, work was
good in all sections, particularly so in arithmetic and reading. After addressing, some encouraging remarks to the children lie gave them, a holiday on Monday next in addition to that afternoon. In response to tbe late announcement the children gave three hearty oheers. s ..Standard I. '
