From Commissioner of Crown Lands.enoloshigau account of tracing for road through sections 59,150, and 01, Block IX, Kopuaranga," From Colonial Treasurer, advising payment of £6O balance bonowed money for Upper Feuiridge road, From Colonial docretary, 10 gazetting of polls. From Proporty Tax Commissioner as to payment ol iNativo rates. From the .under Secretary Crown Bands, asking for information as to soction 28, Waipoua Block, tho property of the representatives of the lato Mr F. Jessop; TheCleik intimated that ho had furnished tho required information. From the Clerk of thoFeatkorston Road Board, as to the legalising of roads. The Clerk was instructed to reply that the Committee appointed by the Board 1 to go into the matter had not yet. met; but so soon as they did, the asked for would be supplied. -From Mr C. J. The Clerk was instructed to writo to them, stating that the Board are of opinion that tho accounts have been finally settled and £IOO paid on account.'-
Miscellaneous. . _ ■ Tho, following special order ■ was made.—That for tho purpose of socuring payment of the sum of Two Hundred pounds granted to the Board under the ''Government Loans .to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for'the formation of a branch line of road leading to section 120 and 121, Block XI, Kopuarangi Survey District, a special rato, of 10/82 of a penny in the £be made, aud levied on the rateable value of the following sections, A, 128; 125,124,122, 128, 125,127.129, 120, 121, 118, and part of section 9, Kopuarangi Survey District. Such special rate shall be anaimuully recurriiigraje,' and will be paid in two half yearly instalments for 20 years, the first payment to be made the Ist day of February, and tho second half yearly payment to be made on the Ist day of August, 1889,. and on the same days ineach .following-year until the debt is liquidated. Mr Wi Waka waited on the Boaid with referenco to the road leading thiough tho nathe pioperty at Te Oie Oro to 11 r Cade's. Tho Chairman promised to accompany the venoiablo chief over tho pioperty and arrange as to tho proposed road. The expenditure of rates duo on Crown and Native Lands for the present joar was allocated in accordance with the choular fiom tho Property Tax Commissioner. Mr Peteison again waitod on the Board with refoionce to the laying off of a road to his property on the Uppor Opaki. Tho Board informed the petitioner they wero in hopes of arriving at a settlement of tho difficulty at its next meeting. / overseer's kepout. Waugaehu Branch Eoad Lino to Mr Brown's.—The conhactors, Messis Gaidner & Co., have made a fair stait on thoir contract, and are piogiessing favorably. Baugitumau Boad.-Tho outlet draiu on this load is now completed by Baundy, assisted by another man, and I would recommend thopayraont of the amount due, £l2, Upper Plain Road.- I have been on tho ground, and find that the work applied for by Messrs Hansen and Freethy is on the correct lino of road, and that thore are about 17 cliainsof twarnpy ground which would require to bo fascined aud a drain mado on the upper side Of road at a probablo costofLlO.
