A gonoral meeting of tbo Waivarapa Rugby Union was held at Carterton on Monday evening last, Mr E. M. D, Whatman in tbo Chair. The resignation of Mr S. H. Wiokorson, as Secretary and Treasurer to the Union was read and accepted with regret, and » hearty vote of thanks was accorded him for his valuable services to the Union during the past three years, Mr H, G, Snodgrass was appointed Secretary and Treasurer pro tern. Tbo balance sheet of tho Union to data was road and adopted, showing a credit balaneo of £l6los 3d, The balanco sheet in connection with the visit of tho English football team to the \Yairarapa was also read and adopted, showing thatthe expenditure exceeded the receipts by £3 is.
