• IIKCOaiifiKAI'THHOUGiITHE - Afll. J My object in writing is two-fold; to I I'xpn'ss niy I'ratitude for a 'yrent benefit '■};iii(ltii tell'* short story which cannot foil l» interest, the feelings o( iniiny ' many olhora. It is all about myself, but I I have remarked that when a man tolls tho linnest truth about himself ho is nil tho moro likely to be of use to'liis followcreatures. To begin, then, you must know I had long bien more or less subject to attacks of bronchitio, a complaint that you aro aware is very common and triulilesmnc in Great Britain in certain seasons of tho year.',- S-vme months a«o I had a very sc.v'ero. turn of it, worse, I think than; I; ever lilid bofore. It mi probably brought on by catching cold, as we arc. all apt, to do. when we least oxpect it,'"Weeks passed; by, and "my trouble proved to bo very obstiuato It would not yield to medicine, and as I also began to have violent racking pains in my limbs and back, I became greatly alarmed. I could neither oat nor sleep, If 1 had been a feeble, sickly man, I should havo thought less strangely of it; but, as, on tho contrary, I was hearty and robust, I feared some now and terrible thing had got hold of me, which might mako my strength of no avail against it. I say, that ivas tho way Ithought. Presently I could not oven lie down for tho pain all over my body, I asked my doctor what he Ihought of my condition and he frankly said, "I am sorry to havo to tell you that you are getting worse I" This so frightened my friends, as woll as myself, that thoy said, " Thomas, l/on must p (o the Hospital; it may be your only chance for life I" But 1 didn't want to go to tho Hospital, Who docs when he thinks ho can possibly get along without doin? it! I am a laboring man with a large family deponding on me for support, and I might almost as well bo in my grave as to be laid on my back in a hospital unable to lift a hand for months, orGod knows how long. Right at this point I had n thought dash across my mind like a streak of sunshine on a cloudy day, I had heard and read a good doal about Mother Seigol's Curative Syrup, and I resolvod, beforo consenting to bo taken to the hospital, I would try that well-known remedy. On this I.gave up the doctors inodiciiio and j began taking the Syrup. Mark the wondorful result 1 I had taken but three doses within twenty-four hours when I was seized with a fit of coughing, and threw off the phlegm and mucus off my chest by tho mouthful. The Syrup had oosoned aod broken it up, Continuing with the syrup, the racking pain which I believe came fiom the bittorand poison humours in my blood and joints, soon loft me entirely, and I felt like going to sleeo, and 1 did sleep sound and quiet. Then I folt hungry with a natural appetite, and as 1 ate I soon gw strong and mil. I fill I could leap through Ik air with blight I In a week I was able to go to my work again, It doesn't scorn possible, yet it is true, and tho neighbors know it, There are plenty of witnesses to prove it. And therefore whuii I say 1 preaoh the good newß of tho great power of Seigol's •"yrup to euro pain and disease far and wide, nobody will wonder at mo.
