Tho survey at Rorokoko of the roadman's reserve has been completed, and tho plan will shortly be handed over to tho County splieitor for tho pnrposo of drawing up tho leaso, In connection with the portion of I this road which passes through; the Mangapakeha Valley, I would ' suggest for tho consideration of the' Council, a proposal that some Bohemo. should bo adopted and executed in conjunction with Messrs 'Elder & Co., having for its object tho ■ directing and confining of the back scours (at present working up. tho : valley) within a channel, tho courso ofiijiioh shall be decided upon after ' oareiul examination of the ground by '_' the interested parties. Tinui Road (Eketahuna to Tiraumea section): Offing to pressure of work in other parts of the County I have . not been able to visit this locality of late, but from what I have been able to gather, the road is not in a sufficiently dry state to render it advisable to- undertake tho repairs - ■ required to re-open it for wheel traffic.
