Monster Gatherings.

(From Our Special Correspondent). Wellington, Monday. It was a great day with tlw Salvation Army yesterday., Commaudant fl. H, Booth, son of General. Booth, assisted by Staff Captain Allen, from Loudon, Colonel Taylor, Major Lovelock, and a number of officers of New Zealand Corps were present, and held immense gatherings. There was great enthusiasm amongst tho Army people last night, and fully two thousand persons were at the meeting and hundreds were turned away unable to gain admission. A charge of sixpence was made at the doors. Commandant Booth referred to the rise and progress of the Army, and gave interesting statistics of the present position, alluding also to the action of the Army ill the Armstrong case. It was stated General Booth would probably visit the Colonies in a few months. , A young Maori ..chief assisted in the meetings attired in the native costume and playing upon a harp, Mr Booth will again visit Wellington, before leaving the Colony,
