1,1 . Dunedih, September 26, The match between the English footballers and a South Island team took placo to-day, in the presence of about 4000 people. The weather was fine. The Englishmen won by 6 points to three. Shortly after beginning Harper, of Nelson, secured a mark near tho centre of tho ground, from which Bean, of Christchurob kicked a splendid goal. Stuart scored a try for England in'the first spell, In the second spell Mathers scored 2 trios for England, Paul converting tho iirst one into a goal.
