Prince of 'Wales, acknowledged to bo tho grandest horse ever brought to tho colonies, has never beon beaton on _any show ground in tho world. Prince Albert's dam, Diamond, was got by that fatuous horsH Lincolnshire Hero, imported by the Into Mr G. R, Kornside. lisi]., Tasmania, and was shown at all the principal Bhows in Tasmania, but was nover beaten Diamond's dam, Blossom, by Matchless, imported to Tasmania by J. L Fisher Esq., is by Rosea Lincoln, Blossom commenced her career as a yearling, taking first prizo ,at the Grand Northorn Show, and first at Westbury samo year, and as a two year old took first prizo against twelve others in hor own class, and the samo day took first prizo against eight tlirco year olds. Was shown for ten years at all the principal shows in Tasmania and never suffered defeat, and was then sold for two hundred guineas to go to Queensland, Tho abovo is tho origin of Prince Albert, and liiß pedigree will show that there is no better blood in tho colony. Ho has the Shire Blood brought in by Lincolnshire Hero, which there is so much run on in tho Homo Country at tho presont time. The four horses drawn first at the Glasgow Show in 1884 had all, moro or less, Shire blood in thorn, this showing that such sires wero proving thomsclves, in getting stock of tho right sort, suitable for the home market, and tha demand for exportation,
