I havo a child who has boon afflicted with an obstinato skin disease of a most itching naturo for moro than four ara. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in tho ace about the size of a pin's head. Of courso a medical man was applied to, but it steadpy increased until faco and lioad were ono dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body cheat, back, joints,and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to be no use, but often made him worso.lu despair I looked upon tho doctors as useless oeings of tho community, On tho 17th September last tho child was shown to Dr Speer, now residing in Wellinpton. It made its appcaranco in tho shape of pimples, which rapidly spread ovor tiio wholo body, and soon affected my health so soriouslythat I grew to bo a confirmed invalid. Naturally,l soui'ht professional aid, going to the best medical men in Wellington. 1 was treated by two of thoin in succession, but without any result to invself except tho loss of a considerable sum of monoy. At the ond of tho year I found that 1 was not in the least improved; indeed, ono of these gentlemen told mo candidly that everythingpossiblo had bcon dono for me,and that I need not hope to ho cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, and paid him a good fee for a euro,,but with exactly tho same result -no change for tho better.
