At tho last meeting of the Vestry, a motion was made to disallow these accounts, but it was not carried, as „ ~ the Vicar stated that this was an i „ " unpiofitable scandal." It seems, however, to me, that this scandal was an oxgcedtngly profitable ono to sombody. There are a couplo of items in this little bill which suggest ques- '' , tions of a different character. The last question is by fai the most serious of the three., In this age of woman's'rights it does seem to me a monstrous thing that in tho City of London four women can be mil in at the same price as one man.
