I have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than four ars, When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in tho ace about the size of a pin's head.Of course a medical man was applied to, but it steadily incroased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body chest, back, joints,and all fleshy parts, Medical skill appeared to bo no use, but often made him worso.ln despair I looked upon tho doctors as useless oelngs of the community. On the 17th September last tho child was shown to Dr Speer, now residing in Wellincton. On looking at him for a minuto or two ho struck at tho root of tho disease at onco, as a man of great skill can do. After tho first five days' treatment small stripes of healthy skin became visible; in lessthan a month tho face wasclean two months a wondorful improvement on the body. It made its appearanco in tho shapo of pimples, which rapidly spread ovor the whole body, and soon affected iny health so soriouslythat I grew to boa confirmed invalid, Naturally,l Bought professional aid, going to tho best medical men in Wellington. I was treated by two of them in succession, but without any result to myself except tho loss of a considerable sum of nionoy. My legit grew worse and worse, until I was finally obliged to knock off work and seek renof from Bomo medical man in Wellington. On my arrival here I noticed in the. papers tho complete cure of Mrs Anderson's littlo son, and 1 at once applied to you, and placed myself under your care, fooling certain of being tured Now, or within ono month of my commencing troatmont, I am glad to bo ablo_ to say that my expectations are boing fully realised, 1 contracted this diseaso during my occupation as a minor, through remaining two long in the water. It first maee its appearanco in small pimples, gradually increasing and oxtonding oyer my legs from tho knee downward. Tho eruption was accompanied by intolerable itchings After tho first«ook's treatment large patches of sound skin began to show. These increased in sizo and wore healthy in appearance, tho sores and ulcers at the same timo decreasing in a very marked manner. This progress continued, as day nftor day the legs got better,and lam now able to carry out my design of visiting Europo leaving to-day by tho Kuapehu, 1 am fully satisfied that by the time 1 reach my desstination I will be quite restored.
