The monthly meeting of the Board was lield, last Saturday. Present: MessDs J. P. Maunsell (Chairman), Langdon and Elder. The minutes of the previous meeting we read and confirmed. - Correspondence was read from Property, Tax Commissioner re rates paid' on Native lands.. From same re balance 011 subsidy paid. From W\s I'P dUptatioii of area, and value of'pwl of Education reserve.., From Colonial Secretary re gazetting special j order ■ adopting the provisions ot the Local Bodies Loans Act 1870. From Colonial Treasurer re petition. From County Clerk re grants made to Council, and timber ia-Tinui Bridget The Treasurer reported balance. , in bank £4lO 9s, and balance TOilftbH for future expenditure il#)!
