Wblmnueoh, Monday. In tho 11, M. Court this rooming, James Parker, John Winters, and Arthur Moeller were charged with robbery from the person of oneMoEwen on Saturday night week, Tho two former were discharged and Mooller remanded till 2 o'clock in the absence of the prosecutor.
Scab in Sheep.
Thames, August 25. At tho Resident Magistrate's Court this afternoon, two informations were laid by Inspector Drumniond of the Sheep' Department against J. B. Sleadman of Waiknwau, for being the owner of sheep infected with scab, and neglecting to give the necessiuy notice. The case was dismissed by'Mr Northcroft.

Auckland, Monday, The Bootmaker's Union is attempting to cause a strike here. On Saturday night it called.out all Union men from Messrs Gavroll Bros.' Factory, but the men declined to comply with the order. The dispute is in reference to l Jie number of apprentices employed. Mr Presscott, the well-known prospector, has discovered two reefs of antimony at the Great. Barrier Island. The reefs are six feet in thickness, There is plenty of water olose at hand for dressing ore for shipment. Blenheim, Monday.
