Tuesday, August 14. The aftoi'iioon sitting was taken up with. tlio discussion of a breach of privilege alleged to have been com. mitted by the publication of a certain article in the Now Zealand Herald based on a question asked in the House by MrHobbs, as to whether Mr Larnach was to draw his honorarium while be was in Australia. The article assumed that Mr Larnach bad really gone away on business, and said Mr Hobbs deserved tho thanks of New Zealand for bringing tho matter forward. Tho House upheld that a breach of privilege bad been committed. A motion that the proprietors of tho paper be ordered to attend at the bar of the House was withdrawn, it being considered that Mr Larnacb's character had been thoroughly vindicated. At the evening sitting the Native Laud Court Bill was further considered in Committee The Bill as amended was road a third time and passed, The Horn roso at 12.85 a.m.
