Wairarapa South County Council.
A meeting of the Council was held on Saturday. Present-Crs H. Bunny '(Chairman), A. Matthews, H. Braithwaito, E. A. Wakelin, J, Martin, and H. R. Bunny. Tlio minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, The Chairman moved that Or W. Booth have leave of absence for two months, he having' gone to ■ tho Melbourne exhibition. Agreed to. The Treasurer's report was read and passed. Ho also reported in respect to the charitable aid distributed, Resolved that Mrs Barker be allowed aid for house rent for another month. Tho outward correspondence was read from letter book, Inward correspondence from Colonial Secretary re the visit of Mr MacOallum. Prom Mr J. Dawson re the repairs of Waihoine bridge,. The offer of Mr Dawson was accepted to repairs of Waihoine bridge for £l, Resolved that £125 17s be paid to the United Charitable Aid Board,- being the amount due for quarter ending 31st March 1888. On behalf of the widow and; family of the late W. Taylor of Fealheratori, resolved that the Clerk mako a claim to MvDodds on behalf of the Cguimil (fa foe ftneraj expenses of,
the lato W. Taylor, 1 - the sum of 10s per week be allowed the widow 'and family of thfl ( late W. Taylor. EesolveJ that the' Finance', Committee meet directly at the close'* of this meeting, and that Or'fl. K Bunny's name be added to the Finance,' Committee.
