The vessel ashore at White Bluff is the Kate Tathain,'bound- from Newcastle to Napier,; sixteen days out.' '. •■■-. liAresT,.. The Kanieri has left the barque and gone to Wellington. She took on board some of the vessel's effects.' The barque does not seem to lobor heavy. The sea is moderate and tho weather line. The vessel lies 21 miles from the Waiiau Bar.

Release of Gury. Wellington, Friday. Judgment was given this morning in the case of (Jury, tlio French escapee from New Caledonia, the Judge making an order for his release from custody.

Immigration Returns. Wellington, Friday. The immigration and emigration returns for the Colony f or July, show the arrivals to have been 018 persons, while 1908 took then' departure from Now Zealand. Tho exodus was principally to Victoria, 1055 having booked for there, and 015 for New South Wales. The loss to the Colony by excess of emigration more than immigration'during the previous six months ended June was 5189 persons. There were no arrival or departure of Chinese in July. The imports for June quarter were J£l,lßG 602 and exports £1,420,290. Both show a large increase oyer the corresponding quarter of last year.. '
