TO THE EDITOR, Shi,—Will you kindly insert theso few lines in your widely circulated paper for tho benefit of whoever it tnay concern. I have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinnto skin disease oi a moat itching nature for more tlmn sevou years, When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the faco about tho aizo of a pin's head. Of course a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores. Tlion it spread to the body, chest, back, joints, and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared tobo of no uso, but often, made him worse. In despair 1 looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th September last tho child was shown to Dr Speer, now residing in Wellington. On looking at linn for a minute or two ho struck at the root of tho diseaso at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the lirst five days' treatment; small stripes of healthy skin became visiblo; in less than a month tho faco was clean two months a wonderful improvement on tho body. After four months treatment there only remains a few marks on the legs and wrists. Tho child is still under Dr Speer's euro, as ho declares It will tako some time .vet to entirely vemovo it from his system, It must also not bo forgotten to add that tho medicines liavo not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case in previous treatments. So I can confidently adviso anyono who should bo so unfortunate as to rcnuiro medical aid to call on Dr Speer for advice, I am &c., A. ANDERSON. It mado its appearanco in tho shape of pimples, which rapidly spread over the whole body, and soon affected m,V health so seriously that I grew to ho a confirmed invalid, Naturally, 1 souidit professional aid, (foiug to tho best medical men in Wellington. 1 was treated by two of them iu succession, hut without any result to myself except tho loss of a considerable sum of money. At the end of tho year 1 found that 1 was not in the least improved ; indeed, one of these gentlemen told mo candidly that everything possiblo bad been done for me, and that 1 need not hope lo he cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, and paid him a «i;od fee for a cure, but with exactly tho samo result—uo change for the better, As a last resource I applied to you about three months ago, and put mysolf under your hands. law glad to be ablo to say that from tho first I received great benefit; my health commenced to improvo, my appetite also returned, and in ushort time the disease itself showed unuiistakeablo signs of giving way to tho treatment, and now, after having been three months under your care, I can faithfully and thankfully report myself quite recovered, My health also is compeltely restored, awl 1 feel now as 1 have not dono for many years. Now, or within one month of my commencing treatment, lam glad to bo cur to say that my expectations aro boing fully realised, I contracted this discasablo ing my occupation as a minor, through remaining two long in tho water, It lio dur its appearanco in small pimples, gradually increasing and oxtendiiig ovcrrst nun' from tho kneo downward.
