Judgmentwas delivered in the R.M, Court this morning, in the case of Yon Quon, charged with being the keeporofa gambling liousp, Defendant was tho ocoupier of thp house 011 which the police nmdo a raid last Saturday night. Counsel for the defence called tljo twenty-nine Chinese who wero arrested 011 that occasion to provo that 110 gambling was going on at the time. The R.M. held the ease was proved against the accused and ordered him to pay a fine of £ls and costs,. Leave to appeal was granted.

At the Police Court to-day a man named Harry Scabrook was fined L 5 and costs for disturbing the Salvation Army services at Dairy Flat recently. The case of Femvick, the alleged luuatic, was again before the Supreme Court to-day, when Judge Gillies decided that the njan was of nnsouud mind, but not inpapaljle of managing himself or Ins affairs.
