TO THE EDITOR, Sir,—Will you kindly insert theso few lines in your widely circulated paper for tho benefit of whoever it may concern. I havo a child who has boon afflicted with an obstinato skin disease of a most itching nature for more than soven years. When six weoks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the faco about the size of a pin's head. Of courso a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until faco and head were ono dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to tho body, chest, back, joints,aud all fleshy parts, Medical skill appeared tobe of no use, but often, made him worso. In despair I looked upon tho doctois as useless beings of the community. On the 17th September last tho child was shown to Dr Specr, now residing in Wellington. On looking at linn for a minute or two ho struck at tho root of the diseaso at unco, as a man of great skill can do. Aftor tho first hvo days treatment; small stripes of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month tho faco was clean two months a wonderful improvement on tho body. After four months treatment thero only remains a few marks on the legs and wrists. The child is still under Dr Spoor's caro, as ho declares It will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not bo forgotten to add that tho medicines have not had tho least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was tho case in previous treatments. TO DR SPEER, Dear Sir,—lt is now about seven years since 1 wa3 first attacked with a bad form of skin diseaso, It mado its appoaranco in tho shapo of pimples, which rapidly spread over tho whole body, and soon affected my health so seriously that I grew to be a confirmed invalid. Naturally, 1 sout'ht professional aid, going to tho best medical mon in Wellington. I was treated by two of thorn in succession, but without any result to myself except the loss of a considerable sum of money. At the end of tho year I found that 1 was not in the least improved ; indeed, one of these gentlemon told mo candidly that everything possiblo had been dono for me, and that I need nut hope to he cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, and paid him a good feo for a euro, but with exactly the same result-no change for tho hotter. My legs grod worse and worse, until I was finally obliged to knock off work and seek relief from soino medical man in Wellington. Now, or within ono month of iny commencing treatment, lam glad to be cur to say that my expectations aro being fully realised. 1 contracted this diseasablo ing my occupation as a minor, through remaining two long in tho water. After tho first w cek's treatment largo patches of sound skin began to show. Theso increased in size and were healthy m appearance, tho sores and ulcers at tho same timo decreasing in a very marked niannor.
