Mauriceville Road Board.
The adjourned ordinary meeting- of the Mauriceville Ro«d Board was held on' Friday last. Present Messrs Gundersen (Chairman), H. W. Jackson, 0. Forsberg, and J. Bannister. Correspondence was read as follows: From Property Tux Commissioner, re inspecting roll. From same, re Native. Lands Rates. Same re Subsidy. From same ru advising payment of subsidy. From Mr Mackay, re road to section 208, Block 11, and section 100, Block V, From Mr Rawson, ro Bran ion's road. From Educational Commissioner' re rates. From James Macara, re rates. From John Graham, ro rates From Josoph Cleland, re transfer of part section 118, Wangaeliu, to Robert Dickson, From W. Blinkhorne, re rates, From Murdock McKenzie, asking the Mauriceville Road Board if they would transfer part of their District to tho Masteriou District without objections. Resolved: That when all the signatures of persons interested in that part of the District to bo transferred are obtained, that the Mauriceville Board will offer no objection to the transfer requested. That the Board are willing to spend money accruing from section 108, Block 11, and section 100, Block V on tho road formation as requested, aud the Clerk lio instructed to draw Mr Maokay's attention to the fact that there was a movement on foot to transfer that part of the District in which his property was situated to the Masterton , Koad District. That the Board require from Mr Rawson a more dclinito • plan of the work requested by him to be done oh tho road leading to Brandon's estato. That the transfer of- section 201, Block V from John Graham to Mr H. Eagle, aud part of RcctionJlfi, Bjock VII, Kbpuaranga, 200 acres, from Joseph Cleland to Robert Dickson be granted. That the Board.reqiii.ro fuller information- re; transfer of. property. The Collector reported rates collected from 30th June to 31st July £l7 15s lid. The: Treasurer reported balance in hank £226 18s Id; cash in hand £5 18s, Ud,. Accounts amounting to £lO 8s 2d wero passed for payment. Messrs Forsberg and Jackson were appointed to Bign cheques. This concluded the meeting. . .
