TO THE EDITOR, - Sin,—Will you kindly insort these few lines in your widely circulated paper [or tho bcuofit of whoover it may concorni I havo a child who has bceu afflicted with an obstinato skin disease of a most itching nature for more than scvon years, When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in tho faco about the size of a pin's head. Of course a medical man Was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head wero one dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to tho body, chest, baclt, joiiitS|and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared to bo of no use, but often, made him worse. In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of tho community. On the 17th September last tho child was shown to Dr Speer. now residing in Wellington, On looking at linn for a minuto ur two ho struck at tho root of the disease at once, as a man ef great skill can do. After the first livu days' treatment; small stripes of healthy skin became visiblo ; in less than a month tho lace was clean two months a wonderful improvement on the "body. After four months treatment thero only remains a few marks on tho legs and wrists, The child is still under Dr Speer's care, as ho declares It will take some timo yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not bo forgotten to add that tho medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the case in previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid to call on Dr Spcer for advice. lam&c, A. ANDERSON. Dear Sin,—lt is now about seven years since 1 was first attacked with a bad form of skill disease, It mado its appearanco in the shape of pimples, which rapidly spread over tho whole body, and soon affected my health so seriously that I grew to be a confirmed invalid. Naturally, 1 sought professional aid, £oin« to tho best medical men in Wellington. I was treated by two of them in succession, but without any result to myself except the loss ot a considerable sum of money. At the end of tho year 1 found that 1 was not in the least improved ; indeed, one of these gentlemen told mo candidly that everything possiblo had been done for me, and that I need not hope to be cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, and paid him a good fee for a euro, but with exactly tho samo result—no change for the bettor. As it last resource I applied to you about thrco months ago, and put mysolf under yuur hands. lam glad to be ablo to say that from tho first 1 received great benefit; my health commenced to improve, my appetite also' returned, and in a short time the disease itself showed uuimstakeable si«ns of givinc; way to tho treatment, and now, after having beon three months under your care, I can faithfully and thankfully roport mysolf quite recovered, My health also is compoltely. restored, aud I feel uow as 1 have not done for many years.
