The Quadrille Assembly had an all-night dance on Friday night last, there being from twenty-five to thirty couples present, Refreshments were in abundance, in fact the affair was a great success, and great praise is due to the Committee and ladies who so kindly assisted. A great Cribbage tournament was played last evening between some of the settlers. This seems to me to he a new kind of amusement. The tournament was arranged by some of the Stoney Creek and Dryer's rock settlers, five men on either side, each man to play thewhole of his opponents, making'in all twenty-five games, with the following result:-Stoney Creek, 19 games, Dryer's Bock, 6, I understand that a return tournament will be played shortly.
