A FEW AMONGST MAN* - TESTIAIIA LS. TO THE EDITOR, Sut, Will you kindly insert these fow lines in your widely circulated paper for the bonoflt of whoever it may concom. I havo a child who lias been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than soven years, When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face about the size of a pin's head. Of courso a medical mail waa applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head wero one dark brown crust of sores, Then it spread to tho body, chest, back, ioints, and all fleshy parts, Medical skill appeared tobo of no use, but often, made him worso, In despair I looked upon tho doctors as useless beings of tho community. On the 17th September last tho child was shown to Dr Spcer, now residing in Wollinjton. On looking at him for a minuto or two he struck at tho root of tho disease at onco, as a man of great skill ran do. After tho first fivo days' treatment; small stripes of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the faco was clean two months a wonderful iniimivomont on tho body. After four months treatment thoro only remains a fow marks on the legs and wrists. The child iB stilly under Dr Speer's caro, as he declares It will take wine time yet to entirely removo it from his system, It must also not be forgotten to add that tho medicines havo not had the least unpleasant effect on tho internal organs, which always was tho ease in previous treatments, So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate us to require medical aid to call on Dr Speer for advice, lonntc, A. ANDERSON. Johnsonyilis, 23rd January, 1888. I will willingly give any further information to any porson who will cither call or address mo at Johnsonville,

It niado its appearand) in tho shapo of pimples, which rapidly spread over tho whole body, and soon affected ray health so seriously that I grew to bo a confirmed invalid, Naturally, 1 sought professional aid, goiug tu the best modical men in Wellington. I was treated by two of them in succession, but without uny result to mysolf except the loss of a considerable sum of money. At the end of the year 1 found that 1 was not in tho least improved ; indeed, one of these gentlemen told mo candidly that everything possible had been dono for we, and that I need not hope to be cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, and paid him n good fee for a cure, but with exactly the samo result-no change for the better. As a last rcsourco 1 applied to you about throe months ago, and put myself under your hands. lam glad to be ablo to say that from tho first I received great benefit; my health commenced to imptovo, my appetito also returned, andiu a short time the disease itself showed unmistakeable signs of giving way to tho treatment, and now, after having been three months under your care, 1 can faithfully and thankfully report myself quite recovored, My health also is compeltcly restored, and 1 feol now as 1 havo not dono for many years, As a token of my giatitude to you for so successfully treating mo at a time' whon I had lost all hopes of being cured, I givo yon this testimony, which you are at liberty to inako public should you so ileairo it. 1 will also give information respecting tho case to anyone who may apply to mo for the same JOHN DOCHKRTY.

On my arrival hero I noticed iu tho papers tho complcto cure of Mrs Anderson's littlo son, and I at once applied to you, and placed mysolf uudcr your care, feeling certain of cured. Now, or within one month of my commencing treatment, Inm glad to bo abio to say that my expectations are being fully realised."
