A FEW AMONGST MA N if TESTIMIALS. TO THE EDITOR, Sib,—Will you kindly insert tlieso few lines in your widely circulated paper for the lienoiit of whoever it may concorn, I lmve a child ivhu has been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thoreabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face about the sizo of a pin's head. Of courso a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until face and head were one dark brown crust of sores, Then it spread to the body, chest, back, juints, and all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared tobu of no uso, but often, made him worso: In despair I looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th September last the child was shown to Dr Speer, now residing in Wollm?ton, On looking at bun for a minute or two ho struck at the root of the disease at once, as a man of great skill can do, After the first five days' treatment; small stupes of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the taco was clean two months a wonderful improvement on tlio body. After four months treatment thero only remains a few marks on tho legs and wrists. The child is still under Dr Speer's care, as ho declares It will tako some time yet to entirely removo it from his system. It must also not bo forgotten to add that tho medicines havo not had tho least unpleasant effect on tho internal organs, which always was the case in previous treatments, So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid to call on Dr Spcer for advico. I am Ac., A. ANDERSON. Johnsohviue, 23rd January, 1888. I will willingly give any further information to any person who will either call or address me at Johnsonville.

Fktosb, l'Jthllay, 1888. TODRSPEER. Dear Sir,—lt is now about soven years since 1 was first attacked with a bad form of skin disease, It mado its appoatanco in tlio shapo of pimples, which rapidly spread over tlio wholo body, and soon affected my health so seriously that I gicw to lio a confirmed invalid. Naturally, 1 sought professional aid, «oin« to the best medical men in Wellington. I was treated by two of thoni in succession, but without any result to myself except the loss of a considerable sum of money. At the end of the year I found that 1 was not iti the least improved ; indeed, one of these gentlemen told mo candidly that everything possible hud beon done for me, and that I need not hope to be cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, and paid him a good fee for a euro, but with exactly the samo result-no change for the better. Ag a last resource I applied to you about three months ago, and put myself under your hands. lam glad to be able to say that from.tho first I recoived great benefit; my health commenced to iinprovo, my appetite also returned, and in a shott time the disease itself showed unmistakeable signs of giving way to the treatment, and now, after having been three months undor your caro, I can faithfully and thankfully report myself quite recovered, My health also is compoltely restored, and I feel now as 1 have not done for many years. As a token of my gratitude to you for so successfully treating mo at a time when I had. lost all hopes of being cured, I givo yon this testimony, which you are at liboity to inako public should you so desire it. 1 will also give information respecting the casetoanyono who may apply to me for tho samo JOHN DOOHERTY,

TO DK. yPEER, Wellington, 3rd May, 1888. SIR,—For a consideraole timo past I liavo been a great sufl'erer from skin disease in ray legs, extending from the kneo to tlio foot. Not only was the skin bad, but the ilesh in a short time became seriously affected, and large angry ulcers made their appearance. My legs gred worse and worse, until I was finally obliged to knock off work and seek relief from soino medical man in Wellington. _ On my arrival here I noticed in tbo papers the complete cure of Mrs Andorson's little son, and l,at once applied to you, and placed myself undor your care, feeling certain of being cured. Now, or within ono month of my commencing treatment, lam glad to be #bio to say that my expectations aro being fully realised. 1 contracted this disease uuijng my occupation as a minor, through remaining two lung in the water. It first nia^ e its appearanco in small pimples, gradually increasing and extending over jto _ gs from the kneo downward. Tlio eruption was accompanied by mtoiiorablo "'ng. After the first neck'aircatinont largo patches of sound skin beyin to show. Theso increased in size and wero healthy m appearance, the soros and ulcers at the same timo decreasing in a vory marked maimer. This progress continued, as day after day the legs got better, and 1 am now able to carry out my design of visiting Europe, leaving to°day by the Huapehu. 1 am fully satisfied that by the time 1 reach my destination I will bo quite restored. lam glad to be. ablo to give this testimony as to your ability to treat diseases of tlio skin, and iv'll add, in conclusion, that your chargo for treating mo was very moderate, Yours Faithfully, CHARLES JOHN SMITH.

TO DR SPEER. Deaii Sir—l am very pleased to be able to report that my littlo soil, about whom I consulted you a month sinco, is now completely cured, Tho boy is live yews of ago, and at tho time I called to bob you was sufferint! from what appeared to be a bad form of skin disease in his logs, Oil receiving assurance that you would cure him speedily, I put him under your treatment, and I am plad to say that you wore thoroughly successful, tho euro having been eii'ected in a shorter time oven than I was led to anticipate. Tho medicine you gave was easily taken, aiid thoroughly agreed with tho child. This testimony is due to you, not only for tho successful treaimon of the caso, but also for tho barely nominal charge you made mo. ■ Yours truly, MRS ROBERTS.
