Sydney, July 17. . In the Houso to-night, Mr Burns, tho Colonial Tnasurcr, made a Supplementary Financial Statement. He estimated an increase in the revenue, notwithstanding a deficit in the estimated railway receipts of .£59,000, consequent on the defeat of the Land Bill. The estimated revenue is set down at £9,158,000, and the proposed expenditure, inclusive of £150,000 for the State House and a small deficit from the year 1887, is estimated at £8,588,000, leaving a surplus for the financial year of £570,000. The expenditure includes £OI,OOO interest payable on the new loan, The surplus will be reduced, however, by a refund to the squatters of £IOO,OOO for rents paid in excess..

An appeal case, Avery versus the South British Insuranco Company, being a claim on two policies effected on the ship Janet recently wrecked, was concluded to-day. The amount of the policies is £ISOO and £BOO each. The verdict of tbe Court was for the company-iu the case involving £ISOO, and for Avery in the case involving £BOO, the company to pay costs of the first trial, and both sides to pay their own costs of appeal. Svdney, July 17. A verdict of manslaughter has been returned against two aboriginals charged with killing another black during an intertribal fight, in the Bellinger district.
