Dunedin, July 18, Ten charges of breach of the Beer Duly Act have been laid against W, J. Suistcr, brewer. ■ Death of Titokowaiu Manaia, July 18. Titokowaru, tho famous Ngahotemanu fighting chief of the troublous times of 1807 and onward, died last night at his pah near Manaia, This was the chief who drove the settlers from here down to within five miles of Wnnganui, and whose name was a household word of terror.' R&- was a consistent friend of his own race, and ;a bravo and far-seeifig general.
