TO THE EDITOR, Sib,—Will you kindly insert these few lines in your widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it may concern. I have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin disease of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the face about the size of a pin's head. Of course a medical man was applied to, but it Bteadily increased until face and head were ono dark brown crust of sores. Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joints,and all fleshy parts, Medical skill appeared tobe of no use, but often, made him'worao, In despair 1 looked upon tho doctors as useless beings of the community. On the 17th Soptember last the child was shown to Dr Speer, now residing in Wollington, On looking at linn for a minuto or two ho struck at tho root of the diseaso at once, as a man of great skill can do. After tho first five days' treatment; small stripes of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month the face was clean two months a wonderful improvement on the body, After four months treatment thoro only romains a fow marks on tho legs and wrists. TO DR SPEER, Dear Sir,—lt is now about seven years since 1 was first attacked with a bad form of skin diseaso. It mado its appoaranco in tho shape of pimples, which rapidly spread over tho whole body, and soon affected my health so soriously that I grew to be a confirmed invalid. Naturally, 1 soupht professional aid, going to the best medical raou in Wellington. I was troated.by two of thorn in succession, but without any result to mysolf except the loss of a considerable sum of monoy. At the end of the year I found that 1 was not in the least improved ; indeed, one of these gentlemen told mo candidly that everything possible had been done for me, and that I need not hope to be cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, and paid hiin a good fee for a cure, but with exactly the same result—no change for the bettor. As a last resource I applied to you about three months ago, and put myself under your hands. lam glad to be able to say that from tho first I received great benefit; my health commenced to improvo, my appetite also returned, and in a short time the diseaso itself showed unmistakeable signs of giving way to the treatment, and now, after having been three months undor your care, lean faithfully and thankfully report myself quite recovered, My health also is compeltely restored, and I feel now as 1 havo not done for many years. SIR,—For a considoraole time past I havo been a great sufferor from skin diseaso in my legs, extending from the knee to the foot, Not only was tho skin bad, but the flesh in a short timo became seriously aflbcted, and largo angry ulcers made their ap--pearanco. My legs gred worso and worse, until I was finally obliged to knock off work and seek reliof from somo medical man in Wellington, On my arrival here 1 noticed in the papers the complete cure of Mrs Anderson's little son, and lat once applied to you, and placed mysolf under your care, feoling certain of being cured. Now, or within one month of my commencing treatment, lam glad to be able to say that my expectations are being fully realised, I contracted this disease during my occupation as a miner, through remaining two lung in tho water. It first made its appearance in small pimples, gradually increasing and extending over gs from the knee downward. Tho eruption was accompanied by intolerable itching. After the first weok's treatment large patches of sound skin began to show. These increased in size and were healthy in appearance, the sores and ulcers at the same timo decreasing in a very marked manner. This progress continued, as day after day tho legs got better, and 1 am now ablo to carry out my design of visiting Europe, loaving to-day by the Ruapehu.
