A FEW.AMONGST MAN if TESTIMONIALS. . , vi ; TO THE EDITOR, .. .■ ; Slit,—Will you kindly itiefert these few lines in your widely circulated paper for the benefit of whoever it inay concern. I have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin diseaso of a most itching nature for more than seven years. When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish spots appeared in the faco about the sizoof a jiin's head. Of course a medical man was applied to, but it steadily increased until faco and head wore ono dark brown crust of sores, Then it spread to the body, chest, back, joints, sud all fleshy parts. Medical skill appeared tobe of no use, but often, made him worse. In despair I looked upon tlio doctors as useless beings of tho community, On the 17th September last tho child was shown to Dr Speer, now residing in Wellington, On looking at him for a minuto or two ho struck at the root of tho diseaso at once, as a man of great skill can do. After the lirst five days' treatment; small stripes of healthy skin became visible; in less than a month tho lace was clean two months a wonderful ■ improvement 011 the body. After four months treatment thero only remains n few marks on tho legs and wrists, Tho child is still under Dr Speer's care, as ho declares It will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his system. It must also not be forgotten to add that tho medicines have not had the least unpleasant effect on the internal organs, which always was the ease in previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should be so unfortunate as to require medical aid to call on Dr Spcer for advice, lain&c., A, ANDERSON. Johnsonvimb, 23rd January, 1888, 1 will willingly givo auy further information to any person who will either call or address mo at Johnsonvillo. Petone, 14th May, 1888. TO DR SPEER, Dear Slit,—lt is now about seven years since 1 was first attacked with a bad form of skin diseaso. It mado its appearance in tho shape of pimples, which rapidly spread over tho whole body, and soon affected my health so seriously that 1 grew to ,be a confirmed invalid. Naturally, 1 sourfit professional aid,, going to tho best modical men in Wellington. I was treated by two of them in succession, but without any result to myself except the loss of a considerable sum of money. At tlio end of the year I found that 1 was not in tho least improved; indeed, one of these gontloiiien told mo candidly that everything possible had beon done for me, and that I need not hope to bo cured, 1 then consulted a Wellington specialist, aud paid him a good feo for a euro, but with exactly the saino result—no change for tho better. As a last resource I applied to you about throe months ago, and put myself under your hands. lam glad to be ablo to say that from tlio first I received great benefit; my health commenced to improve, my appetite also returned, and in aehort tniic the disease itself showed unmistakeablo signs of giving way to tlio treatment, and now, after having beon three months undor your care, I can faithfully and thankfully report myself quite recovered, My health also is compeltely restored, and I feel now as 1 have not dono fof many years, As a token of my gratitude to you for so successfully treating mo at a time when I had lost all hopes of being cured, I givo you this testimony, which you aro at liberty to mako public should you so desiro it. I will also givo information respecting tho caso to anyone who may apply to 1110 for the same, JOHN DOCHERTY, TO DR. SPEER, Wellington, 3rd May, 1888. SIR,—For a consideraole time past Ihavo been a great sufferer from akin diseaso in my legs, extending from tlw knee to tlio foot. Not only was the skin bad, but tlio flesh in a short time became seriously affected, and largo angry ulcers made their nppcarauce. My legs grcd worse and worse, until I was finally obliged to knock off work and seek rolief from somo medical man in Wellington. On my arrival hero I noticed in tho papers tlio complete cure of Mrs Anderson's littlo son, and I at onco applied to you, and placed mysolf undor your caro, feeling certain of boing cured, Now, or withiu ono month of my commoncing treatment, lam glad to bo ablo to say that my expectations are being fully realised. I contracted this diseaso during my occupation as a minor, through remaining two long iii the water. It first made its appearance in small pimples, gradually increasing and oxtonding ovor tho logs from tho knee downward. Tho. eruption was accompanied by intolerable itching, After tho first week's treatuiont largo patches of sound skin began to show. These increased in size and were healthy 111 appearance, tho sores and ulcers at tho same time decreasing in a very marked maimer. This progress continued, as day after day tho legs got better, aud 1 am now ablo to carry out my design of visiting Europe, leaving to-day by the lluapehu. 1 am fully satisfied that by tho timo 1 reach my destination I will be quite restored. lam glad to be. ablo to givo this testimony as to your ability to treat diseases of tho Bkm, and wll add, iu conclusion, that your charge for treating mo was very moderate. Tho medicine you gave was easily taken, and thoroughly ayreed with the child.
