He moved that the Custodian be instructed" to strictly enforce clause 69 of the Cemeteries J Act, which provided that a fine of not ; less than 20s, and not exceeding. £5 ; should be inflicted in respect of every head of cattle, horses, swine, or goats found trespassing, without proof of special damage being required, f Mr Bunny seconded the motion, ; which was carried. . :. j Messrs W, Perry and J. Payton were appointed a Works Committee for the next term, . The Chairman suggested that trees, i of a proper character for a cemetery • should be planted, as the trees at ' present in the Cemetery wore forest 1 trees, and would at some future time have to he removed, I On the motion of Mr Galloway.it , was resolved to expend the sum of 1 £5 in the purchase and. planting of suitable trees. -
