Castlepoint Road Board.

A MEEriNG of the Board was held on Saturday last. Present Messrs Maunsell (chairman), Langdon, Elder, and Andrew, Tho minutes of the previous meeting .were read aud confirmed. Smith and Hogg, re including section' 258 in special rate. Langdon Bros., ro compensation for road to Rewe Eewe. Property Tax Department, re rates due on Crown Lands. Mr B. 0. Langdon attended- in respect to the proposed road through his land to *tewe Rewc, and stated that as nothing had yet been done towards laying off the road, be would prefer to receive the value of the fencing proposed to be erected by Mr Cameron,'and that if the Board would pay him the amount that it would cost to fence the road on both sides he would undertake to convey the land to them. Resolved that the Board negotiate with Mr Cameron with the view of his paying compensasatioh instead of erecting fencing at Bewe Rowo in whole or in part', That a special meeting of the Board be called for Saturday, the 28th inst., to fix the rate for the current year, and for any ordinary bironeffl,' Thai foe collector be in.
