At Lowes & lorns' stock sale at their Masterton yards yesterday, thoro was as usual a largo attendance of buyors, and a fair quantity of stock of all descriptions were yarded. Prices for store wethers 10s to lis 2d; store ewes, " empty,"from (is Gd to 8s 4d ; breeding owes from 5s (id to 7s 6d; culls 4i; merino owes 3s and.3s 2d; beef, light and plain,9ss; storo steers 70s; young cattle IBs, to 425; young heifers to calvo 6Gs; Old cows 30s to 70s; a few bckß from 60s to £8; pigs, slips, 15s and His, The public trial of Hastie and Tindall's patent cure for lung worm in sheep, was successfully experimented with yesterday at Lowes and lorns, sale yards. The public attendance was largo, and great interest Mas taken in the process of f amigating, and moro particularly the sheep that was killed to show the ineect. The portion of lung showing tho worms was minutely exaimncd by thoso present, Tho Stewards appointed by the Pastoral Association in whose charge the sheep are loft will report on the resulting effects of the experiment in four weeks timo.i.
