I have a child who has been afflicted with an obstinate skin diseaso of a most itching nature for more than sovon years, When six weeks old, or thereabouts, small reddish; spots appeared in the face about the sizo of a pin's head. Of couvso a medical man was'applicd to, but it steadily increased until face and head wero ono dark brown crust of sores, Then it spread to tho body; chest, back,join'ts,and■ all fleshy parts; Medical skill appeared tobo of iio use, but often, made him worsb.-. In despair 1 looked upon the doctors as useless beings of the community. On tho 17th September last the child was shown to Dr Specr, now residing in Wellington,'. On looking at him for a minuto or two ho struck at the root of tho disease at once, as amah of great skill can do. After the first five days' treatmont; small stripes of healthy skin became visible; in less than n month tho face was clean two months a wonderful improvement on the body, After four months treatmont thero only remains a few marks on tho legs and wrists. The child is still under Dr Speor's care, as ho declares It will tako some timo yet to entirely removo it from his systom. SIR,—For a considoraole timo past I havo beon a great sufferer from skin diseaso in ' my legs, extending from the kneo to tho foot, Not only was the skin bad, but tho ilesh in a short timo became seriously affected,_ and largo angry ulcers made their op- ] pearance. My iegs grod worse and worso, until! was finally obliged to knock off work and seek reliof from somo medical man in Wellington. On my arrival hero I ' noticed in tho papers tho complete cure of Mrs Anderson's little son, and lat onco ' applied to you, and placed mysolf under your care, feeling certain of being cured. Now, or within one month of my commencing treatmont, lam glad to bo ablo to say that my expectations are being fully realised. 1 contracted this diseaso during my occupation as a miner, through remaining two long in tho water. It first made its appearanco in small pimples, gradually increasing and extending over tho legs from tho knee downward. Tho eruption was accompanied by mtollerablo itching. ' Aftor the first week's treatmont largo patches of sound skin began to show.
