Export Butter.
(Canterbury Times). There is simply no use in attempting to get on in the London market with anything but - factory-made butter from this colony. Many attempts have been made to export Canterbury specially made butter to London, and although pas? sable prices have now and again been secured, the result of tho ventures has never been thoroughly satisfactory. In proof of this let us quote the fact that when Canterbury butter was languidly fetching in London, 70s, up to an extreme 90s per cwt, New South „ Wales factory made butter, sl)ippedj4 from Sydney, was being eagerly 4# bought at 108s to 112s per cwt. The New Zealand butter, not being of|sctory grade is very unreliable; hutfthe Sydney butter has established for itself a reputation for uniformity, and so staunch is this reputation, that the late shipment quoted was bought before arrival.
