Masterton Football Club.

A general meeting of the above Club was held at the Club Hotel on Saturday evening, and was largely attended, Mr W. J. Hirschberg being in the chair. The minutes of the last, general meeting were read and co». lirmed, and the balance sheet adopteaf' Mr G. H. Smith was elected Deputy Captain, member Match Committee, and a delegate to the Union. It was decided to write to the Bed Star Club with reference to the action of its members during the last few games played in the Masterton Football Club'sground, and the Club's delegates were instructed to bring the matter of . players using insulting language towards umpires and referees' before the Union with a view to getting a rule passed on the subject.
