Messrs Freeman lv. Jackson k Co., report their Jolmsonville Stock Hale as followsWe bail a large entry of cattle for the sale yesterday (Wednesday). The beef was of medium quality and light in weight. No prices came forward. The bidding was brisk, and previous sales rates were well maintained. Sheep were at better values, and made fully 1/6 per head over the last market quotation. The pigs yarded were well fattened, and sold freely. Yeal calves were not equal to those sold a fortnight ago as regards quality, and some were too large. Ueef made from 15s to lfis the lOOlbs, wether mutton a shade under 2Jd, pigs 3d to per lb.
