" THAT GAS."
[ To the Editor, 1 * In your report of the Masterroil Philharmonic Society's entertainment ; you allude more than once to " the indifferently lit building," and as people outside would suppose that it was caused by ail unsufliciciit supply. I wish to draw your attention to the following factslst, that on the evening in question, there was no less than fifty jets burning. 2nd, that the meters were 011 at full pressure, iird, that I had to pay for close on 7,000
feet of gas, for last mouth's supply. 4th, (last and most important) that if we were supplied with good gas instead y of the inferior article we've been treated to for the last three months, there would bo less dissatisfaction, and the gas bills would not be so heavy. Your's &c., The Lessee.
