Annual Licensing Committee.
The annual mooting of the Masterton Borough Licensing Cominitteo was held in the old Court House at noon to-day. Present—Messrs T. Chamborlam (Chairman), McEwen, Hogg, Williams, and Ilessey, Mr E. I'orritt, assistant clerk, apologised for tlio absence of Mr J. J. Freeth through ill-health, The minutes of tho last annual and general meeting were read and confirmed. The police report on the licensed houses for the past twelve months was of a favorable nature. Tlie Chairman said the report of the Sergeant was very satisfactory. On the motion of Mr McEwen, seconded by Mr Hogg. the report was adopted. The Clerk reported that six applications had been made for licenses in accordance with tlio Act, and no objection had been lodged against them. The renewal in all cases was granted for eleven o'clock licenses.
