CiiiiisTcnußcii, Friday. Yesterday afternoon Ethel and Augusta Williamson, aged 7 and 5 years respectively, daughters of a farmer living near Papanui, were drowned in the river Styx, Their father took them with him when he went to cut '(load of manuka near the river. On arriving there he sent them

home. Shortly afterwards his son found tlieiv shoe's and stocking on the vJk river bank, and a further search their bodies lying ill six feet of water.
